The VFW Auxiliary Third Sunday breakfast for September 2017 selected the Brookings Empowerment Project (BEP) for its nonprofit recipient. This year the September breakfast was well attended, and the VFW Auxiliary recently presented the Brookings Empowerment Project with a check for $875 to continue its mission of “empowering those with persistent mental illness through supportive and community integrative services.” Veterans living with PTSD are among the clients that receive help from Brookings Empowerment Project.
