I am an attorney and am serving as the Brookings County State’s Attorney. I was appointed to that position in early February 2018 by the County Commissioners. I graduated from USD Law School in 2014 and have been working in Brookings County since that time, most of which was in the State’s Attorney’s Office as Deputy and then Chief Deputy State’s Attorney.
I have always had a passion and desire to give back to the community and I am currently involved with ALTRUSA, Lions Club, Optimist Club, Rotary, and a member of St. Thomas Moore Parish, teaching religion classes and volunteering as a Lector along with being a Board Member of this amazing organization. I am blessed to be the Chair of our Crisis Intervention Task Force Team-tasked with creating a classes for the better understanding and de-escalation of Mental Health calls.
My husband, Dan and I have been married for 22 years and have two children. Taylor is a sophomore at SDSU and Carter is a senior in high school. We enjoy spending time together traveling, attending sporting events, vacation time at the lake, and being with family and friends.
